A Taste of the Real World During the Community Bench Project students were lead through excercises where they reviewed each others work, a process known as critique. Similar to a professional review in the buisness world, students recieved both peer and educator feedback. At the end of the exercise, students had a better understanding of the design process and the importance of its methodical development cycle.

Career Building

Today many young adults are choosing the road less traveled by their parents or grandparents. Instead, a majority of today's youth are seeking careers in technology, graphic design, new media, and product design. To further help students achieve these goals instructors and mentors are giving students the opportunity to interact with the latest technologies by providing San Francisco school districts with volunteer programs, such as iDo. iDo allows high school students the opportunity to develop their creative thinking and problem solving skills using the process and techniques of design, industrial art, and industrial science.
