Participant Testimonials

"I really enjoyed the iDo lighting project. It has opened up a lot of opportunities for me, as well as, given me ideas of where I want to take my education and art career. It was alot of fun".  - Angie Kim, Lighting Project / School of the Arts, 2005

"I really loved your company, your helped me out a bunch, those days were really fun, but I know you had to run. Phillip was the main menace, filling in my mistakes, so I could get what I wanted, and I know those skills weren't fake. Michelle helped me get ideas, from the complicated to really easy, those brainstorm signs were really crazy, she hit me up when I got lazy. I hope to work with you again, as many days, months, and years as I can, so I want to thank you with all my heart, for making my life apart of art".  - Gia Do (GiBo), T-Shirt Project / Thurgood Marshall High School, 2007

"Dear Mr. Martin Linder, Thank your for all the help you have given me with my T-Shirt project. I especially appreciate the information and advice you have provided, and the suggestions you have shared with me. Your assistance has been invaluable to me during this process. Again, thank you so much. I greatly appreciate your generosity".  - Peter Shen, T-Shirt Project / Thurgood Marshall High School, 2007

"I learned that a designer must have the ability to be flexible and willing to accept change because your first draft won't be the final one. There will always be changes. I learned that community is about people that do what they enjoy".  Linda Huang, Community Bench Project / Thurgood Marshall High School, 2008

Class Critique Students proudly presented their panels during a class critique and received peer feed back for improvement.
No Limits For many students this project was what brought them to class each and every day of the school year.
Determination Students at TMHS worked each day on their panels for the bench project. The project lasted six months.
Teaching Others Daniel Daniloff and Emma Doctors collaborate with each other on how to finish one of the panels.
